Farzi Cafe is one of the most trending cafes in Delhi Ncr and beyond. They are currently serving in Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Dubai. Farzi is one of the top brands you hear in food business and also, it is another sensation from Jiggs Kalra.
The one I am talking about here is in Connaught Place, New Delhi. Farzi Cafe is very popular amongst the masses, so whenever you go there, whether is weekday or weekend, you’ll always find rush. I was here on a weekday.
Talking about the place, they got there lift entrance from a showroom downstairs. They are on second floor and also got the terrace. On second floor, you see a huge bar present at the entrance only. They got a separate area for smoking and sheeshas. Coming to the ambience, the lights, the seatings, the interiors, the music, I would say it’s all done brilliantly.
And then there was food, the best part of the night. The night was full of food and drinks. There was mini raj kachori, garlic sofrito, quesadillas, dal chawal arancini and tadka snow peas & cherry tomatoes pizza for starteres.
These were probably the best raj kachoris I have ever had, never thought raj kachori could be presented with foam on it. Dal chawal arancini was something I could never miss, I love arancini balls, whether its dal chawal or its cheese or its anything else, these are always great to have, but not all can prepare them well, but they did great. It had small papad rolls on the top of every ball.
At last, in starters, there was this pizza. They said it was a newly launched pizza by them. It had all the ingredients to make it rock. There were cherry tomatoes on it, there were snow peas on it, then there was lettuce on it and the rest was done by cheese and herbs; remarkable.
By the end of starters, there was no room the mains, so we ordered only one. We asked for suggestions from one of the waiters and ordered as per his suggestion, summer vegetables kofta. I must admit, the presentation and taste of the food was stupendous. It was all very toothsome. Also there was chicken tikka masala and some breads to have them with.
Now after having the succulent meal, its bound to happen to have desserts. Chocolate dome was there to complete the meal. And with the meal we had a few drinks as well, we had old fashioned and mojito. Both are the classics, old fashioned, a whiskey based cocktail and mojito a sprite, mint and lemon syrup base mocktail.
Not to forget the pallet cleanser, served after having starters, before the main course to neutralise the taste buds, so as we can enjoy the main course to the fullest. It is there traditional way of serving the pallet cleansers in a tree like serving dish.
I would give them a perfect 5 for the whole experience.
